Specific Steps for Electrical LOTO:

Identify and Notify: Determine the location and type of electrical equipment, and notify all personnel in the area of the intended shutdown and LOTO procedure. Shutdown: Follow the manufacturer's instructions to shut down the equipment.

Isolate: Disconnect the power source using a breaker, switch, or other energy isolating device. Lockout/Tagout: Apply a personal lock and a warning tag to the isolating device.

Verify Isolation: Use a voltmeter or other testing equipment to verify that the power is off. Stored Energy: Check for any remaining stored energy and release it as necessary.

Maintenance: Perform the required maintenance or repair work. Re-Energization: Remove the locks and tags, inspect the area, and notify personnel before re- energizing the equipment
